Calves and Shoulders Before Legs ? So much pain !!


  • So I am doing the 4 day split and this is insane ! I woke up yesterday morning to do leg day ( after my calf and shoulder day) My calves are in so much pain i really did not want to do lege day. Fast forward to this morning, i can hardly walk my calves hurt soooo much. Any suggestions on how to make this better? maybe swap the days out ? Thanks for any help. 



  • Lol, it's working. Stretch between sets when training calves, and stretch the day after, very gently. It will improve over tim.e


  • Stretch, increase water intake. Might be also time for a deload week 

    my favorite stretch for calves is just the classic calve stretch

    Your calf muscle runs along the back of your lower leg.
    To stretch your calf muscles:

    • Stand at arm's length from a wall or a piece of sturdy exercise equipment.
    • Place your right foot behind your left foot.
    • Slowly bend your left leg forward, keeping your right knee straight and your right heel on the floor.
    • Hold your back straight and your hips forward. Don't rotate your feet inward or outward.
    • Hold for about 30 seconds.
    • Switch legs and repeat.
    • To deepen the stretch, slightly bend your right knee as you ben

    feel Better.

  • You could move your calfs after chest. This will give you more time for them to recuperate.
