Benefits of the stairmaster


  • I started doing the stairmaster on Jay's  advice. It has been cutting my belly fat even though supposedly we can't spot reduce. My blood pressure is down about eight points. I raised the intensity two times on it with the same pulse rate. I can see that  it is making  me more aerobic and at the same time I know it's strengthing my heart. I can do more work with the same pulse rate. Has anybody else gotten the same type of results by using stairmaster? I noticed that Jay still has abs, even though he still eats a lot of food. I know that he usually does at least one maybe two of the StairMaster sessions a day. I only do them three times a week. When I also do my workout at Gold's. I am 72 and I think it's very necessary to keep my strength up and musclature up. I found, though I wasn't getting enough aerobic physical activity. This does it faster and better than anything I have found. I do 5+ mile hikes and it hasn't done the same thing as doing the stairmaster ...Rich.

  • 72 and still killing it!!!  I think def the heart rate increses more n the stairs..... this will definitley help you get down quicker for sure!!!


  • I have used stairmaster myself and it works. Unfortunately for me I ended up getting shin splits and couldn't walk, so I had to go to urgent care. I didn't give up my fat loss journey, so used treadmill on higher incline yo get my heart rate up.
